To keep or not to keep that is the question...

So upon cleaning Golem's enclosure today I found a tiny baby snail, I have not even the slightest idea where it came from! Not sure what kind of snail it is either. Should I keep it for him or discard it? If I am to keep it how should I take care of it? What are it's needs? And where could he have come from?

It is no bigger that the bead that sits on top of a suit pin, it's light brown/tan color shell, and blackish flesh portion.

It's a bad description I know but it's quite small best I could do.

I forgot the nascar connection. They blew it, cutting ties with philip morris. Tobacco Road vs Nextel is a no brainer  Somebody turned left, a little too long. :D

Dont feed it to him directly. You don't know where it came from. You can keep it and see if lays eggs, separate the eggs into a new aquarium with some soil and see if they hatch.

Both Pigglett and Sandrachameleon have excellent blogs on raising snails.

I can't help but laugh at this thread altogether :D

Anyway, there are blogs from some people as listed above and there are also things you can just Google about how to take care of them. They're asexual so it should lay eggs on its own... but it might take a super long time

Most snails like these that you find in cages come from the soil in the potted plant. In the vivarium and dart frog hobby, snails like these are huge pests and will destroy the plants in a vivarium if infested. I am not positive they will have the same effect in a chameleon cage; however, you definitely want to remove the snail (And others when you see them, because trust me, there is more).

I have a friend that keeps mainly dart frogs that made the mistake of getting anxious and didn't completely clean off a plant from home depot before he planted it in his viv.. later on, he noticed holes in his plants and tons of tiny little snails around.

Im not too sure about feeding.. but lots of people use land snails as feeders. I am not positive on their differences so I couldn't say for sure. Maybe one of the snail guru's on here can!

That was my train of thought as well but the little one has gone MIA I am hoping he is not KIA but I am on the hunt for him. . .

He cashed a royalty check and was like see yah! Audi 5000. Making like a baby, and headin' out. :p Gone. If he rejoined nascar, just wait, all left turns make a circle. Eventually he will return to start. :D
