To close to the heat lamp?

Hello all, just have a quick question about Wuttichai liking to sit directly under the heat lamp. I have a 50W day light going on right now, with a glass tank with a screen top. There are some vines that loop around at the top of the cage. He likes to go to the top of the cage on the vine and sit under the heat lamp. Is he to close to the bulb to where it can hurt him? He literaly sits right underneath it as close as I would say 1-3 inces or so. Just want to know if he is ok there or if I should move the lamp to the other side of the tank to prevent him from getting burned. Anything is helpful, thank you.

Right now he is just sitting there with his mouth open?
Yes, that is too close, i did the same thinking it was fine, it can actually burn their backs and top of their heads, i would move it. Also, when he has his mouth open, its their sorta way of "Cooling off" Like dogs pant and humans sweat.

Ok great, thanks for the reply. I'm gonna move it right now.
