Alrighty, so Handsome Jack has taken a number of "field trips" around the kitchen and living room lately. I'm debating whether or not to put him in a 24 x 24 x 48" cage or not, because I'm worried about his safety. There's a few things I feel like I should point out:
He basically has a cageless enclosure right now. It consists of a big Schefflera plant with some sticks, as well as a fluorescent UV light and an infrared bulb heating his basking spot up to 85 degrees. I give him water to drink every day, and with all that considered I'd think he hasn't taken all these field trips on account of being unhappy with his environment? Right?
More about his cageless enclosure-the potted plant is on top of a wire stand to give him some elevation. The UV light is mounted on the wall and the basking light is mounted on a bracket so it hangs above the plant.
What should I do? Should I put him in a cage or escape-proof his home? How would I go about escape-proofing his cageless setup?
