Tips for catching crickets

A really good pair of chop sticks. Not the kind you get from a restaurant. Buy a nice ivory set and go get'em grasshopper.
EDIT: my bad..your talking about in a cricket bin? Use a fish bag like what you would get if you were to buy them from a pet store or use a deli cup. Break or cut your egg crates in the bin small enough to fit into the opening of the bag or deli cup. Bring the cup or bag to the bin, grab a appropriate sized crate and shake them into the bag

I'll try to take a series of pictures showing how I do it tonight. But I basically use a 32oz. cup to collect and then place them in the various cages.

Place some cut up cardboard egg carton pieces, or toilet paper rolls, in your cricket bin. The crickets will crawl on them. Just pick up a piece and shake them into a plastic bag. If you want to dust the crickets put a small amount of the supplement in the bag and shake them. No need to dump a lot of powder in though. They should just have a light coating.

Y'all must feed a completely different way haha I do one by one and hand feed each one to all three of my chams. I just open the cricket lid and grab one and gently hold the top and bottom of the head in between my fingers, pinch the hoppers off, and then dip their bodies in a deli cup with the dusting and then blow on them to get a nice light coat and straight to their mouth. They all wait on me every morning and come running out from the plants to their top branch for feeding time every day.

That's really cool twats. ( I can't believe I just said that) I can't get them to eat if I am in the same room as them unless it's like 6 feet away and I am very still!

i have two cricket cages,,a large one and a small one,,,i just pick up the egg carton piece up and flick them into the little cage! i roughly count the next days feeders as they go into the little cage,,,both cages of crickets are fed well so if i need to i could feed from either cage, but my OCD dictates the transfer, plus i find it easier with a little cage to prepare Gubers dinners!!!
The little cage has a tube that the crickets just love,,,and once i have my bag laced with my calcium powder i flick the side of the tube and the critters fall right into the bag!!!
A quick shake then its into a bowl and into the Gubers tummy!!!!
Guber will get on the side of the bowl while im holding it or if i smush it into leaves,,,,

Get yourself a dedicated Dustbuster (or similar) and just suck them up. When you have enough, open up the collection cup and dump them into whatever you are placing them into while dusting. I hated touching crickets - 4+ years into cham keeping and I can finally grab them, but if one jumps on me unexpectedly, well, mayham ensues. Good luck with whatever method you go with! 
I use toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls and cardboard in the cricket bin. I then take one of the paper towel or toilet paper rolls and cap my hand over the bottom and then shake the crickets into a cricket dusting cup. Then I just put them in a cup for the chameleons to eat.
