Timer question

Mistking or aquazamp. I need easy....LOL. I was hoping to find a local store that carried a minute timer but I cannot seem to find anything a Lowes, walmart etc... That specifically states it will do increments of minutes for 3 or more times per day. Was hoping to find something that would run for about 5 minutes 3 or 4 times a day

I have found digital minute timers at both home depot and menards-- Did you ask a sales associate there-- maybe you just missed them?

Yes I asked them and the two folks I talked to had know idea there were even timers like that

I am in Canada so it may be different but Walmart does have this at mine. It has 8 different on/off choices for each day. So you could set it to go on 1-8 times every day. Hope this helps. I am going to pick one up tomorrow actually haha =P

Thanks, it does not look like we have that one here. There are a couple similiar though but not in the store. I could order though if I don't find one already in stock somewhere. Was hoping I could find something a lowes. Could have also been I was looking during Christmas season and they did not have much to choose from in stock

You will not want a timer to go for 5 minutes, I have mine go off for 30 seconds 4 times a day and that is PLENTY of water.

If you have a mistking go off for 5 minutes once a day your house will be soaked

My mist king goes off 4 times a day for 5 minutes. I have this schedule because I have a jacksons and he needs the extra misting, but my panther is also connected to the system and is on the same schedule. With proper drainage and a good sized cage it is just fine.

It is not for a mist king. I currently have my system running for 5 minutes each time and it does quite well. I have a DIY rain system

Never heard of menards. I don't think we have one in NC or close by me anyway but I could order so that is a possibility....thanks for the info!

ah. i didn't think about that. We have them everywhere! but yeah, something like these are at most hardware stores. As long as they are digital, they usually go by the minute. make sure to note if you need a two prong or 3 prong timer~!

I got mine from home depot and it works perfectly. I had one that came with the mistking and it died within a month I love my mister though! Just not the timer so much lol
