Timer Help again!

Okay so i recived a replacement timer yesterday. I let it charge though out the night. The this morning I reset it and then configured my time settings. Then I put the timer in the socket, made sure the thing said auto and plugged my mister in. The mister came on. It acted like the timer wasn't even there.:confused::confused: I have no idea what else to do, timers hate me.

Ok, my curiousity got the best of me- what is this? Is this for a mist king or something? I am just curious.

Hmmm... my house sounds like crickets right now...

Hold down the reset button for 30sec. Then plug it in, without setting any times on it. Then see if it will operate when you cycle it through on/auto/off.

Do you have a meter? To measure electricity with?

Its a slim chance, but if you have to much power going to that outlet, it might surge it, and damage the timer?

Does it look like this? If so there is a button on the top left that says manual on / off, if it says "on" on the display, that means you have it on manual and it will run constantly, if you press the button it should change to off and slide the button on the top right that says on/off/rdm to "on" and it should set. Also, make sure you have all your times set to the correct Am or PM, I have accidentally set one time to 7:00 Am to 7:01 PM, then it just runs all day.

If you guys need digital timers i highly recommend using a "hydro farm" ive been using these timers for quite awhile with no problems.rated for 1500watts and have 2 grounded outlets. I believe 8 programable on/off settings, programable to the minute and less than $20. They're available at most hydroponic shops. Im not affilliated with them in anyway i just usethese timers and they work great

K tried the reset with no programs no luck.

Im going to let it charge with auto on all night for now.

I can't however let it run on auto for 24 hours, thats just not going to happen.

My dad probably has a meter but eh, I doubt it because the mister works just fine.

justjump- nope i have a mist king timer

robcam- is this it?

if this continues to drag on, i might just consider it

Thanks all you guys for all your help! :)

is your timer set to auto?
I had to set it(check to make sure the settings are on am and pm) a couple of times, frustrating I know.
But it will work!
put it on "auto", turn it to "off", set it back to "auto"
It will also have to cylcle through again, for the settings to set

If its over the standard 120V by too much, it could still damage a low-voltage device, like the timer. The pump would still work.

Its not an issue with it being charged, I assure you.

If this is the second timer youve had this issue with, its something on your end, somewhere.

Mistking timers are good timers.

Im sitting here playing with mine, and I just cant think of anything you might have done to the programming to cause this, hence my last ditch advice, to measure the amps, and voltage coming out of your outlet. Not that Im an electrical expert...

Okay so if I moved my timer to another power source do you think it would still be usable? I mean the voltage could be right but it almost wouldn't make sense, because the first timer I had worked for months before it sacked then this one doesn't work out of the box.
My dad said we will test the voltage later but do you think I have already blown the replacement?

I love mistking though, timers just don't like me
