Thoughts on whether she is Gravid? Pics included

Hi All,

As I eluded to in a different thread, I am concerned that my female panther may be with eggs. I am basing my limited opinion based off of her behavior and other indicators I have read on the forums.

She is young, 6.5 months but has always been a good eater and still eats and drinks well daily.

I did set her up a laying bin a few days ago.

Here are some pics below. I know they are not the best, but I was hoping by looking at her coloration and her size, I may get some informed opinions. Please let me know if a better shot of any sorts may help.

Im not framiler with Panthers ,but she looks rather stressed or irritated ,Is she always that brownish color ? or dark,My veiled are normally a green color when they are happy

I don't think she looks gravid. Did she show receptive colors prior to the current state she is in? Receptive would be bright pink spots or bright pink all over. If she is in the presence of a male it could cause her to cycle an infertile clutch. I would make sure she has a laying bin in with her all the time just in case. Part of the difficulty of keeping females.

Over the past two days she has taken on even more of the colors I have seen in other females that were gravid. She is eating a ton and moving down towards the laying bin I put in.

I cant confirm whether she had receptive colors as I was not looking for it as I thought she was to young for this. Thought I had a coupe more months.

No big deal, will watch her and make sure she has everything she needs.

Thanks and will keep posted.

Bobby
