Thought she was gravid

About 4 weeks ago my female panther was showing signs she was gravid, her colours and pacing the bottom of her cage. I immediately covered the cage up and has been since then but still hasn't layed. Today I removed the covers and to me, she looks normal again. She definitely hasn't layed from what I can tell as her lay bucket hasn't changed since then. I've posted a couple pics of what she looks like now. First one she made her self thin and next she is puffed up. Has anyone any opinions?





Edit: forgot to mention I just weighed her at 95g amd my male of almost the same size is 71g if that's of any help

Did you breed her? If so when was that.

No I tried various amounts of times but she was having none of it lol.

Ok. I would assume she was not gravid then.

It should have been pretty obvious if she was full of egg and then was all of a sudden skinny. I would pull out her bin and check it just to make sure she didn't lay.

She was probably showing she was receptive. How old is she?

She was huge for a while but then all of a sudden not. Ok I'll have a look in her bucket tomorrow. The past 2 times she has layed she has been funny like this and still ate until she layed but in the end after 3 weeks or so she did lay.

They were not receptive colours she was dark purple, almost jet black at times and when I showed her my male she would puff up and gape.

Females can do a pretty good job of covering a spot after laying and making you think they didn't lay.

That female in the picture is 95grams? She doesn't look anywhere near that size (I was even thinking in the 40s/50s, max). But I suppose pictures are deceiving .

Sorry I've not at time to check yet as I've been really busy with work but I shall check within the next couple of days. She has calmed down alot though and showing her normal colours again so I've uncovered her cage. Although both her and my male seem to want out all the time now all of a sudden hmm…

I'll double check her weight again just incase the scale was off

It would be good to know if she laid or not. You don't want her to become eggbound.

She is definitely not gravid now I'd say. The past couple days she has been her normal pinkish/orange colours and acting normal again. I'll definitely check tonight if she has layed though

Had a search through her bucket and couldn't find any. I think she just likes to get me worried lol
