Can Chameleons eat thistle caterpillar, these are the larvae of the painted lady butterflies?

battus philenor and Vanessa cardui are poisonous because of the stuff they eat. Just like hornworms are poisonous because of the stuff they eat.

They are fed hornworms all the time by chameleon owners. I need to know if the larvae (hornworms) is poisonous because I feed mine these occasionally.
Tomato hornworms used as food for chameleons in captivity have not been raised on food that would be poisonous. Hornworms and other larvae that are from the wild would have been eating their natural diet...so if that diet is poisonous to chamelon, then, no...you can't feed it to your chameleon.
