This plant thing has me confused. need help

So for years and years i have been told that Philodendron plants are very poisonous and now on a web site I am told Golden Pothos is a good idea for chameleons but those are the same plants well at least from what i can see. please help

They are two different plants. The golden pothos (Scindapsus aureus) is safe and widely used. Just shouldn't consume it in large amounts.
