This Little Pig Went to the Market... well going...

As many of you have read... I was sent a little pig instead of a chameleon... love him dearly no matter what... lol

Anyways my little pig says no to pretty much anything that's not a dubias. He tolerates crickets to a point. But loves his dubias. I need to make a big order since I have Waldo, my beardie and soon to be Kayla. I have small dubias but he prefers the bigger size 2 sizes up. So I have questions...

What size roaches should I actually get?
Waldo is 7 months old, my beardie is 4 years old, and Kayla is a year old.

Waldo is still insisting on 15 crickets/dubias a day... when will he start slowing down? Lol

Have you considered breeding dubias so you'll have a choice of size whenever you want? I breed dubia's and it couldn't be easier. Big tupperware, egg cartons, feeding/moisture bowls, heat pad underneath tub and BOOM, thousands of dubias later...

Saw the title and got confused. i thought this was pigglet79 (?). (this was a joke and hope to have not angered little pigglet79) .go with the breeding project. crickets gave me a hard time at first, just like getting feeders to eat bug burger. don' t give up, if you know you are doing it right, it will happen. you can always try a different type of roach or try several different colonies with different husbandry.

All you need do is get 4 or so adult females and a few males, put them in a container with some egg cartons or such, give them plenty to eat, and give them 85 to 90F.
In a month, you will have more dubia then you will ever know what to do with!!
Also, the larger the container, the more they will breed :)

Hint, I found it best to heat the bin from the bottom.
So I have a 'under tank heater' and a rheostate and laser themometer.

When temp hits 90, you cant STOP the buggers from breeding!!

Her little piglet is a younger brother to your boy from me. ;)

to the OP- do what psychobunny says, and youll get the roaches breeding in no time, you just need food, heat, and hiding spots.
