Now are you saying that panthers do not belong in pet stores?

People are not breeding enough to be able to sell retail prices that are right on with breeder prices. As we know, most breeders sell animals for less than pet stores. The invertebrate market is a good example of this dichotomy.

As far as what is being sold, and the information passed with the animal.. that obviously varies from store to store.

I am happy to finally start seeing panthers being offered in stores. I think it is a step in the right direction, from numerous perspectives.

yeah I plan on moving up to portland here soon!!! when i can get a job up there i most deffinatly will. right now i am sitting at 2 male veileds,2 female veileds who are poop machines i gotta clean their cage twice a day it seems, 1 oustalate male, 2 female ambilobe's and blaze who just shed today and his green strips got even greener so i'm now starting to think that he may be a sambava!!! but he does look like one of kammers ambilobe and on wensday next week i'll be getting my 2 female nosey be's from the nilus line from kammers and 1 male from their other stunning nosey be line. I can't waite.

no if you reread my statement blaze i had special order was suppose to be a blue bar ambanja male which he isn't and kilo who i just bought from a college girl she was told she was a he and payed 500 for the cham itself so imo if you want a panther go through one of the sites breeders and not the pet store kilo the girl i just got i was pissed for the previous owner seeing all that the pet store in cali told her and how much she got ripped off so when blaze is of age to breed with my two female ambilobe's i told her i would hook her up with a free male from their clutch and lead her in the right direction but she made alot of good progress when i gave her much needed info to help make kilo more happy. most of the pet stores that sale them imo just want to make a quick buck and will tell you what you want just so they get the money. another member from oregon was looking into getting her to but i got her first and i love her don't mess with me additude but i'm hoping i can break her of her aggresion.

my main goal is to be the main breeder for panthers in the northwest and open up a little shop of chams. and have the stores come to me for special orders i already got two excotic pet stores that want my chams when they are ready. but for now i go through them for my cages and feeders and equipment its a great deal cause 1 i pay what they pay for their supplies so thats a plus 2nd ive seen the reptile store prices where i got blaze and pandora and the guy is a good guy but really rips people off on prices for their supplies and i use to direct people to his store for business. i would go back and demand a refund but i'm to nice of a guy and he is my friend. i'm just pissed off about him pulling one over on me. but also i got several peeps besides those two pet stores that want babies from me and i feel word of mouth is way better business then alot of advirtising. plus i love chams and i'm happy to have them again. greatest pets ever!!!

I'm GLAD you got her!! I really have no interest in breeding so she'll be of use to you! Instead I got a nice and friendly fischer who likes attention and is a little flirt I think it was definitely a win-win

from what i heard they are taking a break from breeding chams for a bit. plus this won't happen for at least another year. but its what i want to do i love the little dinosaurs. plus the one thing i will offer is no wc chams i know all started out as wc but my goal is to put out great quality ch and cb chams. panther and veileds are only the beggining i really also plan on breeding my oustalate, jacksons and peacocks i just love the bright green that peacocks show when fired up and happy.

Well I've a male from Seeco and he is the friendliest cham...today he got a little frisky and I've seen more of him then I've ever wanted to! He's only 9 months old so I can only imagine what a stud he'll be when he's older. I'll have to ask Seeco what line he's from.

and he looks pretty healthy which is better then what i can say for most pet stores..... but have you gone to the store and told them they messed up? even tho you are keeping him, i think they should still know.
im on the fence with chams and pet stores .... it would be nice to get these gorgeous creatures out there but on the other hand 70% of pet stores dont have a clue on how to care for them and it ends up causing health issues.

yeah i told dave the owner of reptile kingdom that i was not happy at all what he did but i love the little critter non the less he is a stunner fo sho!!!
