im assuming you mean hygrometer for measuring humidity.
a hydrometer is for measuring specific gravity which isnt really applicable to cham keeping, except in certain instances of pathology.

hydrometers are sometimes used to check the specific gravity of fecal float solution. they might also be used to check the specific gravity of homemade saline solution, but to measure humidity, you need a hygrometer.

for the $, im a big fan of the $20 zilla thermometer/hygrometer, has 2 remote senders on 56" leads, records highs and lows of both temp and humidity, (good to know if you cant keep a close eye on your cage).
