which chameleons in your experience, were the worst and had the worst temper?

it took me the longest time to get kiwi out of her free range, to the point that she lost her privillages for a while. i tried various methods, towel, gloves, oven mit... i would never want to be bit my a cham cause the way she tore the towel up :eek: scariest thing ever.

In my experience, it is a tie between three of my chameleons.

I had a male Veiled named Colt that would try to kill me everytime I did anything in his cage. He was beautiful, and was the one that brought me back to the hobby. Then I had my [in]famous verrucosus pair. Both were very nasty, due to their timid ways. The female actually bit me, and broke the skin, but no blood.

On my 3rd Chams now, never bitten (by a cham). A little hissing and the occasional lunge - all Veiled, all been sweetness and light (so far......)

The veiled I had wins the contest hands down....... She was definitely the offspring of Satan himself:eek:

Does my only snake, a little Grey Rat Snake female, count for this thread? - she wanted to kill me, and made several valiant attempts. I named her after I first took her out the box, to put straight into the Viv, she tried to swallow me whole :)..........She was called Beelzebub, and was unfortunately a lot stronger than I suspected. She escaped after I'd had her only a few months.......

cristatus are hatefull not agressive, but def, dont want you to even look at em. LoL

cristatus can be jerks?! they are my favorite species of chameleon lol, never thought they would be like that.

so how bad does getting bit by a chameleon? from the results of kiwi and the towel, i'd rather get bit by my tokay lol.

it was bad though man, i was stressing her so bad trying to get her out last night that i left her to just rest in her free range all night and tried again this morning, i had to get her to run on a pillow i held up to not have her stress anymore than she had to.

no david, snakes dont count. but that does sound like an amazing but terrifying experience so i will give you kudos on that one anyways lol.

lol dave, she is only for my eyes. she is the only reptile i have that i will not handle. i know nothing about her other than how to take care of her lol.

Getting bit by a chameleon hurts like hell!!! I intentially let one of my friends panthers bite me just so i could feel how bad it was, no im not destined for the mental institute, i was just curious so i thought id see for myself. I dont recommend you try it with it with sharks though, result would probably be life changing!! lol. It didnt break the skin enough to make it bleed but with the ammount of pressure it probably would have if he had started to thrash his head around. This is definately not something i recommend to anyone with a low tolerance for pain! lol:D

Male veileds are seriously angry individuals.

Caught him mid lunge with an open mouth :p

Lol, that picture might be scary if you could see anything.....

i had a wc panthe run up my arm and bite me on the cheek (i just laughed, i was 13..he was more like running blind with mouth gaping and ran into my cheek..didnt hurt) as for my huge male veiled i had years ago..he was evil ..even chased me a few times (he was master of he living room..he even attacked my gf sulcatta once )oracle.he will still be my favorite.

my gf once let him escape..he came to me while i was doing carb work on my bike..i saw his head pop out threw the bushes coming towards me (he must have been really hungry to do that (he was missing for more than a week, i though he had passed away , or got to one of the huge palms we had all over the yard)
