The Quasi Quad Reportqu

For all you fans of the underdog, here's my first Quasi Quad Report.

Quasimodo came into the US a few days ago as part of what looks like is going to be the last import from Cameroon area for years to come. I was at the importers until almost midnight the next day looking through the shipment for T. q. gracilior I couldn't find many, but when pulling one of the quads out hoping it was a gracilior, I pulled out the poor mangled Quasimodo. The importer took one look and gave him to me.

I haven't had a really good look at him. He's newly imported and really needs to just drink and eat and drink and drink and drink some more. Condition wise, he looks great. I saw him snap up a cricket immediately after I put some in his cage yesterday morning. He is not having any trouble holding on to his branch as you can see. I gave him a big fluffy asparagus fern just in case he fell.

It looks like his right shoulder is pushed through to the left side. His left shoulder looks dislocated. His problems look like they go all the way to his tail. It might even be congenital and not damage from capture.

Surprisingly, he is doing terrific!

Here is a picture I took this morning which shows his poor twisted little body. That bulge on his left side is not the back of his eye turret--it's his shoulder! But look at his wonderful condition--he's a survivor, that's for sure. He's going to need a special home some day.
