Woooooo! They finally did it! She was a wierdo and would let him mount when she wasn't receptive but nothing happened. She finally flashed pink when I showed him to her. She walked around for a while with him on her back then when I showed him a jacksons chameleon he did the deed. He's a weirdo. He wouldn't actually mate, just mount. I tried all kinds of chameleons, panthers, my veiled, a melleri, even large Pygmies. I have no idea why he felt manly around the jacksons, but whatever works, right?

is that hyperion?... i wouldnt mind a baby female from him:cool:

and a side note: he is giving the look "wanna join?":p

Haha. I don't think he cared! He just wanted the action! :)

He was very gentle with her. He gave her a 'massage' In the beginning. Then he put his moves on her and started to rub his chin on her cheeks. What a gentleman! She didn't even have any claw marks/bruises.

Edit: Yep, that's the little guy right there! You'll have to wait a year or so for any babies, assuming she lays fertile eggs.

Congratulations! We know you've been waiting a while now for this to happen. Hopefully you get eggs full of petit panthers :D

On a side note, I don't know what it is about Jackson's and panthers. My Othello tries to mount Cobalt every single time he sees him, but won't do it to anyone else lol Weird stuff.

How long is it normal for her to keep letting him mate her? She's still an odd pink color like she's receptive, but when she gets mad at me she shows gravid coloration? She hasn't shown any sign of being unreceptive to him, but I took him out of the cage anyways. They were together for 5 days. Now they are both darker. Should I put him back in?

Control the Hornyness!!!:p.....lol

sorry..idk in the matter but i guess its better to keep sperate , i mean who wouldnt b bummed after the end of a sweet honeymoon:rolleyes::p:cool:

It's odd. They seemed comfortable with eachother. They took turns basking. :) I have read that they more often than not reject the male after 2-3 days.

maybe its true love:)

or maybe "scientificlly" (a buzzkill on the true love) they are "uniquely cohabitually compatible to live with one another....i mean maybe hyperions size has to do with it, less threatening and how he acts may change an reaction with the female...idk just a guess:rolleyes:

If you could I guess the best test would be to show her a different male? I don't know, can't say I have any experience in this area!

She is small as well. They (ratio wise) are the same as a normal couple.

I don't have another male at the moment, I'll have to borrow one. :)
