Absolutely! lol when I first managed to get my WC Jackson's to feed infront of me, maybe from my tweezers or from a little cup I was holding, after it took months before he would even eat with me in the room, I felt like I had just had a huge breakthrough in trust!
I actually have never had a chameleon take longer than a day or two to know I fed them. My Veiled was two months old when I got him, and it took him maybe two days, but I knew he was eating, and I knew it may be a while for him to let me watch him eat, because he needed to settle in. But after that, he would eat all of the food before I could walk out (I had other pets in the same room as him to feed ). But I never felt a "breakthrough"
