The fat cham who just can't control himself.

Shooter is honestly just like a little fat kid. He's so impatient when it's feeding time! We put the crickets into a clear plastic cup and then transfer them into Shooter's and Sinatra's feeding cups. Sinatra is a total gentleman, waits for his food to be put in his cup before eating. Shooter sits in front of his cup and doesn't let us pour the crickets in!!! We've been feeding him from the clear cup because he tries to shoot the crickets before we can even tilt the cup!

I took a video with my phone, so sorry about the poor quality, but it just cracked me up today. There are definitely moments when he looks right at the camera as if he knows what he's doing is wrong but he just can't help himself.

hahaha I'm glad!!! That's what we go through twice a day with him! He honestly can't even wait till the food is in the cup. It's like a fat guy who can't wait till the slice of pizza gets put on his plate, he just has to eat it right out of the box.

However, I will tell you this, Sinatra is quite the booze-hound. Constantly drinking!

we feed him a variety of things, mainly 3/8" crickets, silk worms (when we can find them), phoenix worms, and he loves horn worms. In the vid is just crickets, the worms we just hand feed but the crickets we put in a cup for dusting then into his feeder cup. clearly seen in the video he's apparently gottin so used to the cup that he wont even let us put them in his feeder dish he try's to shoot them right out of the cup!!!! Honestly i could prob put a piece of Sh*t in the cup and he'd still try to eat it!!! hahaha

This morning I went to give Shooter, aka fatty, his breakfast. I actually had to bribe him with one cricket from the cup we use to transfer crickets into the feeding cup so I could put the rest in! I decided if I could go quickly enough, I could give him one cricket and quickly pour the rest in. I swear from the time he shot, chewed, and swallowed I think I had about 5 seconds. I feel like I'm on a game show with him!

hah You're welcome!! Glad I could help on a Monday morning. He definitely has some personality. He's a complete spoiled brat who gets whatever he wants. I wish I could sit under a nice warm light all day, someone making sunshine for me, misting me and feeding me. Wouldn't that be nice?

I just love when I tell him to "stop it" how he look right at me as if he knows what he's doing is totally wrong and unacceptable, just like a little kid with his hand in the cookie jar.

Right? We've become completely addicted to making the cham enclosures as beautiful as possible, built them a custom stand, get all different kinds of feeders. I'd say it's heaven on earth for them!

Impatient would be a NICE thing to say about Shooter. He just assumes everything that enters his cage is food. If you put your hand in, he shoots it. We named him before we knew his personality so that worked out nicely!
