The Continuing Saga of Kharma

Okay, so today tried the nesting box today, still no interest even with seclusion. So, i took a good look at the gal, and i see that by her back legs on body there is a line of shed, that isn't complete. So I am thinking she is totally uncomfortable due to this. Especially since she actually allowed me to get mist on her. So, I am on serious mist duty. Any tips on how to get the complete shed to happen besides misting? She even tolerated a bit of examining when i had her on my hand this morning. Will take pics when she is in a good spot to get a good shot of it.

Chameleons are actually dry shedders so leave it be. How long has she been shedding? How many days has it been since she's started? misting and dampening it will just not help it. Obviously they need to be misted at some point so just don't mist her directly.

Husbandry should be kept the exact same when shedding unless theyre taking too long to shed and circulation cuts off. thats why i'm asking you how long she's shed for :)

Misting should not be used as a way to get them to shed. This is incorrect and will cause issues. If your husbandry is correct nothing additional from the regular care should be done.... They are dry shedders. As they mature they shed in pieces this is totally normal.
Gutload, supplements, and feeders all directly impact shedding and how easily they move through it.

I would leave her be, sometimes they shed in patches, sometimes all at once. Its also sometimes takes a few days. No need to increase the misting only due to a piece of flakey shed. Now if you’re humidity is too low, that’s another story. I never mist my guys mid day, unless I forgot to fill the bucket.

Cool, it's going on second week. Actually since been misting more it looks like it's progressing since this morning. It's all good, and nope not a problem.
Was just nice to actually figure out why so wonky. It's odd cause for most of last week, normal, then bam again.

I get that, but it's like she paused and is finishing up. Hubby witnessed the first shed and he said she did the same thing last time. As she was upstairs, me downstairs with broken ankle. So apparently this is her MO, I am keeping a close watch on her to make sure there are no issues.

You said..."today tried the nesting box today, still no interest even with seclusion"...what do you mean "tried the nesting box"? Is the box in her cage at all times?
Yes all times, just showing it is there. And checking the moisture of it as well. Also, not misting her, some gets on her when I do and she actually enjoys a bit of light water as she will catch in mouth and drink when doing it.
