The classic horror story of Petco...

When I buy feeders (crickets, mealworms, ect.) they only live for about, 4 or 5 days, then die. But these past couple times I've bought feeders I have gotten them from a different pet store. It's a local store in town called The Pet Works. The last time I picked up crickets from them I bought 150 and none of them died. I had them for 3-4 weeks and they all were healthy. Plus they are MUCH MUCH cheaper. Petco I think is 8 for 12, here it is 4 for 12.

So, if you ever have a chance to not go to petco, then don't.

I know most people know this already, but I just thought I would share my experience with the feeders.

Anyone else have bad times with them?

Oh yeah. I did all my research before purchasing my cham. Once he arrived i went to petco for a few more supplies. Talked to an associate and they really have no idea how to take care of a cham. Its kinda sad since they actually sell them.

I made the mistake as a first time buyer getting Jose from Petco... His cage was so small that he was in, and I'm sure they didn't dust his feeders right. They had worms in his bowl all the time also. I felt so bad for him in that tiny cage I just had to get him.
