The Best Misting System?

I've been hand misting my chameleon for almost 2 years now several times a day and it's becoming quite the chore. I'm interested in purchasing a good misting system but I need some opinions on which would be the best one to buy.

Heres a picture of the cage if this helps:

Thanks,

I asked this question yesterday, just go down a couple of posts to the one titled "seeking advice on which cage to pick, and a misting system" to see everyone's answers. A lot of people said herpmist, but there were a couple other options listed as well.

I'm with you, need to stop handmisting and get an automated system that can do it on a regular schedule. :)

I've ordered it....but it hasn't arrived. Been nearly a month now, and I haven't even had a reply to the messages I've sent. Are they normally prompt and reliable?

misting systems

I have a mist king advanced misting system equipped with almost 40 misting nozzles now. The mist heads are all black and look very professional. Every time I send Marty an e-mail, he replies within about 2-3 hours. Every shipment that I have ordered from him has arrived in 1 or 2 days after the order has been placed. His new black low flow misting nozzles dispense an ultra fine mist that does not stress the chameleon out if it happens to be near the mist head. I have about 400 babies that have these misting nozzles on them and they all drink immediately after the pump turns off. When I was hand spraying the babies would all scatter during misting. Now they sit in it and love it. I can't say that I have ever tried a herp mist misting system, but I highly recommend mist king. I am sure that both will do the job just fine.

Mist King here. I received mine in 1 day and Marty is awesome at replying to e-mails etc. Just got mine and love it.

Carnae - I just sent you an email. My email wasn't being forwarded correctly. :(

skeleptica - I will have a Canadian distributor within the next few weeks, so folks up north will be able to buy without having to pay brokerage fees or waiting forever on the USPS.

Both Marty and I sell the exact same nozzles. Marty now sells the same pumps I've been selling all along (Aquatec). I'd be pleased as punch if no one sold those horribly expensive (to the customers, not to the seller, though!) and loud "piston" pumps that can destroy themselves if you run them for longer than ten minutes or let them run dry.

My system is very inexpensive...its the toro nozzles with 1/4 inch black tubimg hooked up to the laundry tub faucet with a sprinkler timer. You need to get your cage over a big tub though cause there is a lot of run off. You dont want to ruin your floors.

ChamTree, if you hook up some real misting nozzles instead of sprinklers, you won't have to worry about the run off. I've never seen anything at Home Depot that makes mist as fine as these do. (Not even the Arizona Mist stuff.)

If you have a water line, there's no need for an expensive pump!

BTW, one guess as to what factory in California makes Pro-Mist's pumps!
