So today was the day that I clean out the cricket bin. Took the cricket bin to the kitchen to do scrub it clean, put the crickets in a temp. bin. Since I only have 1 chameleon now I only keep 100-200 crickets over a 2 weeks period. Well after I scrubbed the bin clean i started putting the crickets back in reg bin. I had all but one in there. My son came over and asked if he could catch that cricket so I let him.

I stood over him to supervise to make sure that this little cricket to make a run for it. My son was trying his hardest than I heard "Get down stupid cricket!" The cricket jumped on his hand then jumped back into the bin. I lowered the reg bin down just to make sure it would go in. A min or so past and my son got frustrated and dumped the cricket into the bin. Yelling "Bad cricket! Bad stupid cricket!"

LOL It was so funny had to share =D Love this kid!
On a side note: I really wish I could of got a picture of Ringo last night. He was laying on a lower branch last night tail all perfectly curled! So brightly green he looked awesome!

A vid of the kid would be funny. I always like to give my little brother a horned worm and let a veiled eat out of his hand. My brother thinks its the greatest but he jumps and runs away everytime.

too cute!!!

Reminds me of my daughter.... Once in awhile I get a cricket or two that gets loose. Well my 7 year old was in the basement and I heard and the scream of death. I guess she found the cricket's that went AWOL. lol
Since then she goes in the basement with a fly swatter and a whack a mole hammer. lol

Kids are so funny!!!

my dog ( iknow not as cute as a kid) loves to play chase the cricket when they get loose. he pounces and stalks them.

My chihuahua also stalks them. Which can be quite handy when my four year old decides to open the cricket tank and give them a stick to climb out on. We have been catching 5-6 a day for a week now

I guess your son told that cricket off.:) I love watching kids that age, everything is a new wonder to them. Too bad we all grow out of that.

Yea... he really wants to hold Ringo and pet him and I'm like no you cant do that!. I Might have to set some money aside and get him a beardie for supervised handling and such. We will see. Pretty much if I have any lose crickets they will either get eaten by my dogs and cat, or played to death.

I think a bearded dragon would be great for a little boy. They are so calm and enjoy being played with unlike most chameleons. Of all the reptiles I have the only one I let people take out is my bearded dragon.
