The orangee/yellow coloring could mean your cham is dehydrated. Urates should be nice and white. Try upping the misting and adding a dripper if you don't have one already.

Wow, thats alot of poo for a 6" cham. That urate looks a little strange. I think I'd take that fecal in today and get a float and smear done. Its cheap insurance and youve got a good sized sample there for the vet to look at.

i def have a dripper intalled that he drinks from ontop of misting 3-4 times per day. and he's outside pretty all day and into the evening. he's a newly acquired rescue to the already umteen animals. I can do the float. ima tech lol. at first glance nothing seems life threatening though, yea?

actually now that i think of it...the urate was kinda...i hate to say crystally...almost like like granulated calcuim or something. now im sketching myself out. crap.

I just thought it looked weird. Since your a tech and can prob get all the supplies free I'd say def do it for peace of mind. Besides since he's a rescue you dont know what conditions he may have been subjected too. Jmo....

I know heat helps indigestion and from your other thread he is getting what he needs now.

Not sure but is it possible that he was not digesting before and now he has, which means a lot of poop? Just a wild guess on that.

If that is possible though I would do the testing can't be good to have all that in him for who knows how long...

ok whew. thanks all for your input. ima def stop by work and run the fecal. @linda thats def a sound theory. like i said in my other thread...he was improperly housed with little to no uvb for most of the time. come to think of it im not even sure if he was CB or WC...hmmm. i'll find out tommorrow when i go for the rodent run
