Hi everyone!

I am a new member to the forums as well as a new chameleon parent (within the last few months). I know there are many well educated chameleon owners on here. On behalf of all of the new owners, I just wanted to say thank you to the community. It's quite scary getting a new pet that requires so much specific attention especially if it is one you love and want to give a wonderful life to. I was having a lot of trouble when researching how to take care of my Jackson male because there were so many differing opinions on the internet. This forum was a god send to be able to personally talk to experienced owners and get informed advice on my specific chameleon. It's put me at so much more ease to know that when I am struggling or need help, I have a reliable community to turn to. I know everyone on here has lives and jobs and families, so the fact that you all take the time to help others and write such detailed response is so much appreciated. I'm not sure if you all have received thanks so I wanted to make sure to write a thread about it. I know I'm not the only Chameleon owner who has felt like these forums were their last saving graces. Again, thank you to the whole community for being such a strong, informed, reliable, and loving place for us owners to turn to, especially those less experienced

Best way to thank this community is to take what you learn to heart and share your knowledge back to the community and of course giving the best care possible to your animal.

I recently read some post saying 'newbies shouldn't give advise'.... Well I strongly disagree! Sometimes an uneducated guess can shine a different light on a situation, just make it known you're not 100% sure if you're not sure...
So what if the newbie sometimes shares wrong info in most cases genderneutral (that's a thing right now) will get corrected by someone more experienced and the newbie will learn from it genderneutralself (it sucks ikr) and could improve genderneutral's own husbandry.

Asking newbies not to share advise will decrease activity and ultimately kill this community, we should encourage every owner participate as it will keep this site going and will improve everybodies knowledge, there are not many places people 'like us' can go to get their fill or info.
