Most species are non toxic, so yes they can be fed, but just for safety I wouldn't feed any that were found living in pungent smelling (pine/cedar) trees.

I have no clue, but depending on the species (I didn't look these up) I wouldn't feed the soldiers. Some have nasty mandibles meant for war with ants and could possibly damage your chams tongue if given the chance.
