Was the room cooler than normal the night before? What's the temp in the ROOM? If it happened to be cooler than usual he may bask longer. As long as he's eating, drinking, active he may be fine. I would worry if he was never leaving the basking area, was sitting dark and quiet under the heat light, and not drinking/eating. His growth rate is starting to slow a bit and many veileds go through a duller browner color phase at about this age. You could tweak the basking spot temp up a few degrees to 85-90. Make sure he can adjust his own body temp by moving to nearby perches.Chameleon is 20 weeks old and is eating and drinking fine. He had a couple of shed, but over the last 2 days he been basking alot which is not normal for him. I was thinking is it time to increase the temp in the viv. Temperature currently is (basking) 80F.
I have noticed his colours are not as bright today, and he not eating today.
