Temperature

Can anyone tell me what the internal temperature of a chameleon should be in order for it to maintain proper metabolic function?

It would certainly vary.

For example, Pygmy chams are killed by temperatures above 80 degrees.

Adult Veiled chams suggested basking temps are 90-95 degrees.

That i understand, what Im basically asking is what should their body temperature be in order for them to digest food as well as deficate?

They are cold blooded. As far as I understand, this means the body temperature is dependent on the ambient temperature. They digest food best by regulating their body temperature in accordance with the temperature gradient in their enclosure. They will need the basking spot to accelerate body temperature=higher metabolism or decelerate it by moving to the bottom range of the temperature gradient.
