I plan to get a temp gun but would you advise I get a temp gauge as well? Also are all humidity gauges pretty much the same or would anyone recommend a certain one? Thanks in advance guys.

the temp gun should do you well enough. i wouldnt worry about a thermometer for the ambient room temperature UNLESS your house fluctuates quite a bit.
something basic should do well, ive never really used a hygrometer and the ones i have used were fairly innacurate. dont even bother with those exoterra hygrometers, terrible.
you can probably get a decent basic indoor/outdoor thermometer/hygrometer/barometer in the garden center at you local hardware store or nursery for a reasonable price

well i live in an apartment and my cham will be in my room about 3 feet from the window so air might effect the humidity somehow i just want to be able to know if it's humid enough for him tho.
