Temp For 4.5 Month Old Veiled? And Humidity Question..

What would be the ideal temp for basking spot for a 4.5 month old veiled?

Right now it's 82-84 which I don't think is warm enough, currently using a 60w standard lightbulb.

Also, in the last week my humidity has dropped to about 30% and barely gets to 50% with mistings. I live in a very dry climate, so I am thinking I need a humidifier?

Your temps are actually a bit high. Babies like cooler temps, so stay where you are regarding that. as for humidity, you can get a humidifier,
but if you have a screen cage, you can put a shower liner on 3 sides which will keep some of the humidity in, also if you dont have any live plants, you can try getting some, which will help keep your levels up too.

I have 3 live plants in the enclosure, they seem to help a bit.

Are you sure about the tems? Everything I read for a juve veiled is 84-88?

Temps are good but you need to do somethig about the humidity. Try some live plants. I did not have them and many suggested that I get some. I did and my humidity has stabilized. Make sure to keep your mistings up as well. You dont want dehidration.
I used a humidifier for my Jackson when I lived in Colorado but that thing was a pain to clean. Maybe find another way to self generate naturally.
Good luck.

If you live in a drier climate a way to go may be a glass or plastic terrarium.. It helps very well in drier climates such as in the UK. Humidifiers do help as well though... Just make sure that it is not putting hot air out on the bottom of the enclosure.. As they need an area to cool off... IMHO if your having that much trouble, try the terrarium because more equipment just means more maintenance and more that can go wrong

if you have a male i would have your basking temps in the high 80's/72 ambients. if you have a female i would have the temps in the low 80's*/72 ambients.
