Temp and Humidity readings

Just wondering what's best for temperature and humidity readings.

Obviously the main temp reading would be at the basking point, so i would have a digital probe there at all times.

Would you also monitor the humidity at this point or would you do that at say the half way point in the enclosure? Or both, one at basking humidity and one at midway ambient?

I would put the humidity gauge or probe half way or so,if you put it at the basking site it will give you a reading that's drier than the rest of the enclosure as heat will evaporate the moisture.
I have a basking site probe, then one midpoint and one at the bottom for temp, and one mounted half way for humidity.

Yea that will work, honestly you probably really only need two temp readings, a basking site and a midpoint in the enclosure. I just have 3 cause I had an extra thermometer, but more certainly isn't hurting anything.

Solid advice, I have it setup similarly. The only thing I would add, is just make your humidity gauge isn't in a place that is directly sprayed by your misting setup (if you have one) otherwise, it'll likely always read 100%.

What's the best way to prevent it being sprayed by my misting system?

I have one which is an analogue gauge and one which is digital.

I know the analogue one can just go on the side out of the way, but the digital one i was thinking of having it in the middle over a branch.

How would i stop it getting wet and cause inflated readings?

Just watch where the misting system sprays and lays when its through its cycle and place gauges accordingly.

Cool.

I suppose i could mount it so that the probe is facing down when mounted under a branch, that would shelter it from direct mist spray.

That'll work. I have mine hidden on the back wall of the enclosure and then another hidden in the leaves of a fake plant.
