Tamatave chameleon darker color

Concerned if he looks healthy or not I've had him since he was 3 months old an he eats well. Also he has the white strip along his back which I'm pretty sure it's a burn from when I had a too high of wattage light on him. :/ but if someone is certain that's what it is that would be nice to know! Thanks again!

im not sure thats a burn from light because its so white, I've had almost 5 chams get little burns on their heads and backs from sitting too close to the light. and they're always black looking burns but it could still be a burn on yours. all you have to do is go down to the drugstore and get "polysporin" not Neosporin that has a pain reliving properties to it that are not safe for reptiles. but I've had awesome luck with applying polysporin with a q-tip to minor to severe burns, scratches, even bites on my chameleons and always had luck with it healing it up. i would try that, it can't hurt if you think its a burn. good luck:)
 
He might just be starting a shed. They will shed like that and start at the spine. Your picture is not super clear or up close, so it is hard to tell really.
