taking my chams outside

Tomorrow and the rest of this week is supposed to be super nice out. I have to go to school tomorrow and stay till four pm. I was wondering if I could set up their cages and mistking outside tonight and keep them out all day. It will be in the low 40's tonight and will be that way tomorrow early in the morning. Will that be to cold for night time temps? It will get to be about 76 degrees tomorrow. I don't want my chams to miss out just because of school lol!

Where do you live? I would not leave my chams outside in the 40's nor in the hot part of the day unattented. They can overheat very quickly.

I live in Vegas. I could run the mistking a little longer to cool them off if that would work.

I would not risk it. A forums member here took his chams outside before work and hooked up the mist system and when he came home from work three beautiful panthers were dead. Something happen to the mister and it didn't go off.

The 40's would most def be to cold. Why do you want to keep them outside all day? I know they love it but I think I would wait until you can be there to watch them and keep an eye on the temps.

Besides, you don't want to miss the fun of watching them rediscover their cages in the natural light.

Honestly, I'd want to be there to keep an eye on the situation. Even if the temps were fine and they had plenty of places to get out of the sun if needed, one never knows when a neighborhood cat might wander by and decide to engage in some lizard watching. I would think your chameleons would find that unpleasant.
