I've been researching some veterinarians good with chameleons in my area but I'm still worried he may not be so great. I've noticed some red in my panthers poop which I'm assuming is a little bit of blood so I want to take him asap. What I need help with is determining if this vet is any good. Like what kind of questions should I ask? Are there any treatments I should refuse?..etc. Please help me with anything you can think of. This is my first time having to take a Cham to the vet and I'm so nervous.

you should take a fresh fecal to the vet in a zip lock bag w/ a damp paper towel wrapping the fecal. before you do any treatment, a fecal test needs to be done. once diagnosed then you can come up a treatment plan. let us know the results and we can help what your options are as far as good medications and such.

Thank you so much I brought a sample with me! I decided to skip on the local vet and make the 2 hour drive to a specialist so I'm feeling a lot better about the situation. They're examining him right now and I'm really hoping everything turns out okay!!!

It went good, she found parasites in his stool so she dewormed him. I also told her about a coughing sound he's been making. Her assistant heard it but since she didn't she couldn't tell for sure what it was but said his X-rays looked perfect. She sent antibiotics with me in case of an RI or something, since we couldn't get his blood work back in time. It's called trimeth sulfa suspen
