Taken her away too soon?

Hi I put my female veiled to the male yesterday (they have mated before), and she accepted him and they mated. I left them for a bit went back and checked on them and the male had the female pinned to the floor of the flexarium, and the female was showing, what I thought, were her gravid colours. So, I removed her. Since then she has reverted back to her normal green colouration. Should she be displaying that she is gravid (if she is) all the time from now til she lays, or only if shown a male or laying?? Im just not sure if I removed her from his flexarium too soon? Thanks kay x

I am having the same problem.
My female was mated with a friends male and they copulated 4 times so we thought she was done, but she didnt show gravid colours.
So I tried showing the female to my male but he is very placid never grabs the females or mates with them so she didnt show gravid colours just ran away.
So maybe she knows that he wont do anything.
But I think she will show gravid colours if she is shown the male that will mate with her.

So I would also like to see what others say about this.

She will not show the gravid coloration all the time, only to communicate with you or other chameleons to stay away.
