I don’t see any bump at the base of the tail, so my guess is a girl. Then again, I haven’t studied parsons much, so we’ll just have to see.

Don’t know directly if this counts with parsons, normally other characteristics are used to determine sex.

Pretty low-maintenance. He eats twice a week, and doesn’t need heat or uvb (I still provide uvb just in case tho). The enclosure’s a 4’x1’x1.5’ aquarium that I set up as a bioactive paludarium, though 10-20 gallon tanks are recommended as the minimum.

By far my favourite amphibian I’ve kept. He’ll come up to the wall when he sees people, and handfeeds readily. The only thing is the legality of keeping them in your area; where I live they’re legal to take from the wild, release, and sell without a permit or anything, but that is not the case in many places.

This guy’s a rescue from my cousins’ farm, they found him drying out in a window well and were going to feed him to their cats.
