Tail not shedding right?

My veiled chameleon is 4 months old and it seems like his tail isn't shedding right. I thought it was something that you just had to let take its course, but after a week or so I noticed it still wasn't shedding and it looked like it was pinching it. So I have started rubbing it with warm water to hopefully get it to shed off but it still has some on there(not as bad as it was though).

Does anyone have an idea of why this is?

That's what it looks like now

I posted a lot of other pics of him if you'd like to check more pics of him.

Veileds shed in sections. Don't try to peel it off. Can you post a better picture of it?

not as much flash

thats probably the best i could get right now without getting him out of his cage. It is a lot better. It looked like it was pinching it or it was broken or something because it was crooked. I'll see if i can get a clearer pic

I will counter that. You need to get that off of there before it starts to constrict blood flow too much. I just had the same problem with my baby panther and it got to the point where it needed to be picked off or he would have lost the end of his tail.

Soak it in warm water and gently peel it off. Chuck G, who I got my new baby from, walked me through the process and it worked perfectly. It didn't hurt my chameleon. Getting it off is better than leaving it on and having him have problems down the line. This problem can happen again and again, so keep an eye on it with future sheds.

he's still young, my cham had the same prob. on the tip of his tail, i had to get warm water and help him out a bit to get it off, just didnt want it to constrict the blood flow and loose his tip.

thanks for the info it was getting really bad but i did get some of it off and what you see now is what it looks like a couple days after i got the majority off
