My mother and i recently got a pair of chameleons, a brother and a sister and my female i notices has a few greyish black spots on her side like she rubbed up on the cage as well as the tip of her tail has the same discoloration at the tip of her tail. her appetite is normal and activity is normal as well and her brother is completely healthy. I'm taking her to a vet tmr morning but am wonderin if anyone has any ideas what could have caused it. she usually gets those those spots on her side and they go away but her tail has me worried because i have soaked it and tried to rub it a little as well and when i do it feel a little sticky to me. I'm not sure what is wrong or what else i can do for her. not sure how old they were when my dad brought them home but was told they were about 2-3 months and that was a couple days before Christmas. any help would be great.

Do you have them in separate cages? If not, then that's your first order of business (unless they're pygmies...).

I suggest you complete the How to Ask for Help forum. It will reduce the number of questions people ask you (there are always more questions! but these are the "must have" ones) and organize your information in the way the board is used to seeing it.

I'm glad you are taking her to the vet. Hopefully you'll get something to treat her with. Babies do sometimes injure each other. Maybe that's what has happened.

Hello, welcome to our world. So you have 2 new chams, that will be fun to see how the male and female differ as they grow. Could you upload some pictures showing what the places on your female look like? Also what kind of chams are they? i am sure a vet will do a lot better than we could but it is always interesting to see any thing different with our chams. let me know how your vet visit goes & good luck.
