t8 plant light

I have 3 dual 48" fixtures, and for my plants I've been using a 5k light from the pet store. My question is are the 5k Phillips daylight bulbs compatible to the ones I use which I believe are the sun glo 5k.

Why are you using 5k instead of 6.5k?

If it's a t8, it will fit into your fixture as long as the wattage is OK. I just use the 6.5k phillips from Home depot. I am pretty sure, 5k is 5k light, no matter the brand in regards to t8.

t5's 6.5k I think is brighter.

That's what I was wondering, and I use t8s because my local pet store has great prices On the UV lighting, its just the most convienent to me.
