T. Deremensis pair, Samson and Delilah

This pair is related to Hoj's and Trace's. I got them from Laurie around 4 months ago and they are doing really well. Was wondering if anyone had any insight into the color pattern for the male in the picture. He has been sporting those spots all day so not sure what that means if anything. He lightens up when I open the cage door to get a picture so I have to act fast. As soon as I leave them alone for a couple of minutes, the spots come back. Temps are normal 73-81 bottom to top. The pair are kept together in the same 24x24x48 screen cage and they are 7-8 months old. Any info will help. Thanks!

Do you think the female is getting him stressed? I have not seen this pattern from him until now unless I have been messing around in the cage and bump his branch.

I agree with my man Chuck that he is stressed. Despite what other people say that the deremensis can live communally mine certainly can't and never could from the get go. Once they get to be adults I may attempt again but for now they live the swinging single life and all their animosity is directed towards me.

I also agreed with Chuck, that male is showing classic stress. He needs to live alone.

Yeah, I have another cage ready to be reworked tomorrow morning. Think I will leave Samson in the bigger cage and move Delilah to the new one. Not sure what brought on the stress colors so quickly but they will not be ingored. Thanks Chuck.

they look great, sounds like you got 4111 on the spots...
mine are still all together and seem to really enjoy each other..
i have the cages set up to sepperate them but i can t bring myself to do it. they all hang out together and sllep all on the same branch.
on this note. i beleive i read somewhere that keeping them seperate improves the odds of having a successfull mating,?????

Thanks Hoj. I read the same thing about mating success. I think it was fluxilizard that posted that. Up until yesterday I was convinced that mine were happy together as well. They always gravitated toward one another to sleep. I have pics on my facebook page showing that, but for some reason the male just spotted up and stayed that way all day yesterday. It might be something else that was bothering him but I am not going to take the chance and keep them separate anyway.
