After 9 long months, my first clutch of panther eggs that was sired by my Ambanja male is hatching. Two popped out yesterday and 3 more today. Its really exciting and i feel like i'm going back to check the incubator every five minutes!

Here is the sire:

This species really tests your patience, skills and devotion, but it feels great to see the fruits of your labor... or rather their labor :D

Thanks for looking, I'll post some pics of the hatchlings soon.

how many do you plan to keep? I can't wait to know what you feel like. My girly just laid 2 days ago so i am at the beginning of that journey.
Your babies are going to be beautiful, can't wait til you post some pics

Thanks Ashley and good luck with those eggs you just got. After a while you don't expect to see anything when you go to the incubator and you start imagining that they won't hatch... Then one day you look in and YES!!! You just can't help but dance :D

it's just ridiculous how long chameleon eggs can take to hatch.

I'll probably keep a few at least. One already has a name, so you know what that means :)

The b/f is almost certain I am going to cry. lol. I really do feel like a proud mother.

What are the names so far?

My 3 year-old daughter took a shine to the very first one that hatched and started calling it "Francis". Not sure where that came from... but hopefully it will turn out male :)
