Supplements/vitamins?

I have a male veiled Cham and I was wondering what types of supplements or vitamins I should give him? I dust his crickets and worms with calcium without d3 and he usually doesn't get a lot of natural sunlight mostly becuase I've only had him for about 2 weeks and I don't want to stress him out. Please let me know what supplements are necessary for him!

Ca w/out D3 every feeding. Ca w/ D3 every two weeks. Multivitamins every two weeks. Most keepers rotate the multivitamins and Ca w/ D3 on alternate weeks. I like to occassionally skip a dose every so often to make sure they aren't being over supplemented. Gutloading is where your main nutrients should come from. But if you aren't a genius like Sandra, pigglett, carl, or some of the others on here it can be tricky to understand what your chameleon is getting nutrient wise. Natural sunlight is very important. It provides D3, which allows for the absorption of Ca. In the morning and evenings, the both of you should enjoy a little outdoor time if you can. Even an hour, is extremely beneficial. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Thanks a lot I'll give it a try!

Welcome to the forums. I keep veileds and I "lightly" dusted with 2 kinds of supplements. When your chameleon is young you will use plain calcium (no d3) at just about every feeding...... if you skip one or two days a month that's ok. You will also need Reptivite with d3 twice a month.

You might find my blog for new keepers attached below helpful. https://www.chameleonforums.com/blo...-keepers-young-veiled-panther-chameleons.html

Thanks the blog was very helpful:)
