i know alot of people use the repashy calcium plus all in one but it seems questionable, wondering if i should just use all three rep-cals???

You are right to hesitate, it has not been tested long enough (a full chameleon's lifespan) yet to really be 100% sure.

So far so good, though. I've made the switch.

My main concern is that chameleons are so much more sensitive to oversupplementation than most other reptiles. Most of us on the forums really only started using Repashy products for chameleons in the Spring/Summer of 2011.

So if there are going to be liver failures, kidney failures, or other oversupplementation problems....because it is in such low doses, but more often, then 2012 will be the year we will see any negative feedback on it.

Likewise, we won't 'truly' know how good Repashy is until all our chameleons start living longer, or less, which will take 3-5 years to get an idea about.

What? I beileve Krammers chameleons have been using it for like 8 years now with much success. Sorry if that is incorrect. The stuff works great. I made the switch when my guy turned about 6 months old and his health, size and colors is so much better now. The stuff just works.

so far i love the repashy and wouldnt use rep-cal if they gave it to me for free JMO i know alot of people have used it for a long time with great results but it is wayyy to strong in my opinion
if anyone wants repcal they can HAVE mine...

I have.
been using it with my 1 year old veiled since august.
best stuff ever.
fixed a tongue issue.

What was your growth rate during that time?

I'm wondering if it can hold up to a pretty decent growth rate.
I have no belief that it cannot, I'm just looking for a little reassurance before I switch- Been thinking of switching for a while, but wanted to use up what I already have before switching.

after i switched to it. he started shedding about two weeks later.
before that, his growth had slowed some, had not shed in about 2 months. now he sheds every month. not always a full body shed, but hes a year old.

before i started the repashy, he had a tongue aim issue. he would sometimes miss a cricket when aiming.. it wasnt serious, maybe 1 out of 10 crickets he missed, but serious enough i was concerned.

now, he doesnt miss a single one!

The Kammers were using it for 3 years (not 8) before endorsing it, and we all jumped on the bandwagon after that, which was only less than a year ago.

The Kammers have used it for dozens if not hundreds of chameleons with success, and endorse it....however they breed only PANTHER chameleons and the same cannot be said for montane, pygmy, or even veileds for that matter, or if you have a different feeding/gutloading program than the Kammers.

Allen Repashy has awesome products and is a real testament to how entrepreneurialism & capitalism combined with passion & research can help thousands if not millions of people (and their pets!). I even use his Super Hatch!

All in all you will have to tailor your use of it to other variables (if you use other supplements, what you gutload with, do you need more D3, less D3, do you add Vit A drops once a month, etc etc).

There was a thread started yesterday called "Repashy" I post my guys 2 month growth rate in pictures. It works fantastic if you ask me. & ive heard lots of storys about cham issues that disappeared after using the stuff. I wish someone could show me how to 'Cut & paste" I would post a link to it:eek:

Either works.
What people really ought to be doing is thinking about the type of feeder(s) offered, what you fed that feeder, and what (if any) supplementation is actually required.
A non-thinking schedule, with any product, is NOT the best idea.
What works for one person/company may not be the best choice for you, unless you just happen to be feeding the same type of chameleon with exactly the same type of bug and the bugs were fed just the same way, and the temps /housing /lighting is the same, etc.
