We have a large plastic container with a lid on with plenty of air holes in it, its deep enough so the crickets can't jump out, will they breed?? And another question when I dust the crickets, after a few hours or so I look back and there back brown again asif they haven't been dusted I use repashy calcium plus all in one but this happend when I used the individual supplements, do they Obsorb it ? Or does it come off if they rub on the egg carton or something?

dont dust them until right before you re gong to feed them off.

and it rubs off.

they need dirt to breed. they mate, and th females lay the eggs in dirt.

Ahh right thanks :) but how? do u scoop a few out with a little plastic container n then dust them? The crickets are fast little buggers lol n do u mean just plain soil u find in ur garden or does it have to be certain soil?

what i do is keep toilet paper rolls in the cricket bin.

then i just get my food container (i cup feed) and put shake the bugs in the cup, put my powder in, shake, and put in the cage.

and regular dirt is fine. it needs to be low enugh the female crickets can get in, and the dirt must be moist.

after about a week in the cricket bin, remove the dirt, place in another bin, keep warm, mist daily, and pinheads should pop out soon.
