Superworm shed?

So I got more superworms to add to my collection yesterday at the store. I went to feed tobias a few tonight and I noticed that some ere very white, and QUITE soft. Then I discovered some exoskeletons in the dirt which I removed and threw away.

I mixed the new with the old, and Ive had the old for almost a month now I keep them at about 63-70 deg. At what point do they turn into beetles? Can I feed the beetles to Tobias? Whats with the soft ones...and the shedding?

Thanks!

They grow. They need to shed to grow. After a few hours the soft white ones will harden up and turn normal colors.

They need to be isolated to pupate. The beetles can be fed off, but they shouldn't be fed off too often as they are very hard. My chameleons don't really like them. If I remember correctly, they are bitter or sour or something equally distasteful.

For the supers to turn into beetles, you need to isolate them in individual container. They wont turn into beetles when all together. When separated they are stressed, which causes them to start the process. They will eventually turn into a c shape, which indicates they have begun the morphing phase. They will turn into beetles from there. Its a pretty lengthy process.
Yes, super worms molt as they grow.
As far as feeding the beetles off, I never have.

Yeah, you have to seperate them for them to pupate. I threw mine in an old tacklebox to pupate them:p(because of all the little compartments)
Left them alone for a week or so, and they were all creepy looking-pupating and stuff;)
Nothing to it!
