Since I got Picasso i've just been feeding him crickets, but i'm going to get some super worms tomorrow. He's not quite a year old. What's the protocol for super worms.. Do i gut load them like I do crickets? And how many would he get in place of crickets? Any thing else I need to know/do with them?

ok a couple of things. yes gutload them just like crickets. Beware that your chameleon may stop eating crickets once they get a taste of the superworms!. it has happened to many of us including myself!!! They are quite fattening also, so take that into consideration on how many ou feed. I would feed a couple of times a week.

gutload them like this: https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/sandrachameleon/443-superworm-substrate-gutload-one.html
keep to less than 20% of your chameleon's diet. I suggest you dont let any one feeder make up more than 20% of your chameleons diet, but especially the fatty stuff like supers, So consider adding silkworms, butterworms, roaches, terrestrial isopods, termites, etc to your chams diet as well

if you are offering a variety of foods, and not overfeeding generally, you greatly reduce the risk of hunger strikes or food addictions (where they avoid eating anything but a favourite)
