Super Worms

How can I tell if the super worms I have are the right size for my 3 month old cham? and how often can I give them to her?

You'll get all kinds of opinions on this subject. Basically, the way I determine size is to throw one in there and see if the cham eats it. They can make the decision on weather it's too big or not.

As far as frequency - some people will tell you that you can't feed them often because they're too high in fat. I'm not going to say that those people are wrong, but I will say that I offer superworms to all of my cham's every day, along with Dubia Roaches. Most days they will eat the worm, some days not. I let the cham decide what it needs. The end result is that I have very healthy and happy chams.

Same as above.

Usually if the super worm is too big, you can tell. I go by if it's LONGER than neck-to-snout, don't feed it.

Someone on facebook got very angry at me because I gave one to two supers every day along with crickets, veggies, and dubias. I don't get it.

Keep your cham well hydrated, don't feed TOO many superworms (one/two a day for treats or less) and you should be ok.

Thanks

Not sure if what I did was OK, but I had no choice. On Saturday I gave her about 4 because I had no crickets left since Friday. She would have eaten more if I had more. Is it normal for a 3 month old to eat as much as you feed them.

3 months old should eat as much as they want. My panther cham ate around 22 small crickets at that age ^^ it's healthy for them to eat lots until they are around a year old which is when they start slowing and you can cut back to feeding every other day if you want.

I would not feed her TOO many, just make sure she is well hydrated.

Usually just use them as a treat. Sometimes chams get addicted to them and don't eat anything else until you quit feeding them for a while.

I would try to feed her as many crickets as you can, and then if she is still hungry or if you don't have enough crickets, feed 2 superworms.

Also try and get your hands on a breeding colony of something like dubias or silkworms. As far as I'm aware, dubias are the easiest to breed and are better for chammies.

How do I feed superworms to my cham?? If I put them in his cage the damn things crawl away and fall to the bottom of the cage before he has a chance to eat them...he wont hand feed from me and isn't to keen about eating when anyone is watching...I always have a lot of superworms because my bearded dragon eats them so it would be nice to figure out a way to offer one or two to Loki (Cham) now and then...I even tried squishing their heads (ewe I know) so they couldn't crawl away but then he just looks at them laying there like "really? you want me to eat dead worms....crazy lady" lol...

Thanks

Thanks! I give about 12-15 crickets once a day everyday. t was just that day the only thing I had was the worms. She eats in my hand, on the bottom, on top, basically anywhere the food goes she hunts until there's nothing left. My daily routine is crickets in the morning and a caterpillar when I come home from work and have them. I also made a driper with a solo cup, which it lasts almos all day (I've seen her drink from it), also when I get home I mist and add more water to the cup. Her pee is white the majority of the time, but sometimes it's a little orange on the tip, like today for example. I do have one more question tho. Can I only gut load the crickets with organic veggies and fruits? The supermarket that I shop does not have a lot of organic stuff, so I give them baby carrots and potatoe.

My friend has a Panther Cham, he eats he's worms from a little container that she leaves in his cage.
