Sunlight

I've got another spare plant that I have for when I get my Cham out, he loves to be near the window to catch the sun but does it pass through glass?? He sits there asif he is basking, but don't know if he's actually getting any benefit from it??

He is getting the heat, but no exposure to UVB. Glass and plastic do not allow UVB to pass through it. THere is no harm in him sitting in the sun in the window as long as he gets exposure to UVB through your lighting set up or get him outside into the sun. :)

Good :) as long as there's no harm in it :) and it's hard to get him outside as I live in top flat 3rd floor and don't really want to be carrying him down 3 flights of stairs lol but normally open the window so it's not going through the glass and get some good sunlight as we're so high, but I live in England so when we have sun the air is normally cold with it lol so don't want to open window if its just going to be cold for him, hopefully get some better sun now it's spring :)

Will do, :) his plant mostly at other end of the room it's just when we get abit of sun I put him near window and open it as it comes right open and he gets some nice sunlight like that, but when I opend the window today the breeze was really cold even tho the sun is blazing so I shut the window didn't think it was good to have it coming through the glass tho so just thought I'd ask :)
