Will natural sunlight coming through a window offer my chameleon anything? He seems to like to hang out where some natural sunlight spills from a crack in my blinds. I opened it up a little bit more for his enjoyment, or is he just going to get depressed because I can't take him outside today?

Very few rays penetrate. So It should not be counted on. As for nice and toasty yes
just insure he has an escape cause glass can make it even hotter. If u have an old house with single pane windows like me he will get slightly more but still minuscule UVB absorption.. I open my window to cure that though
