Summer time light question.

When summer time comes do you change your basking light wattage so it's not as warm? I like in northern Cali and it gets super hot here. I'm guessing it can't get too hot in their cages.

It may need to be changed if your room ambient temps change.

On hotter days I switch to a lower watt bulb for my jackson.
(Or turn it off even.)

I keep a variety on hand for just such a purpose.

For a panther?
70-75ish daytime ambient.
90-95ish basking.
