Such a Proud Mother

I just had to share because I was so proud of her! Cami today came to campus with me for a 15 minute visit to my health care class. The topic we were discussing as a final project was health benefits of Retirement Facilities with pets. Cami came to my classroom as an example of one of these pets, and did an excellent job sitting on my shoulder while I presented. She stayed her happy green the whole time, and after class students were able to come up and pet her or ask questions. I showed them her favorite spot to be scratched (just behind her casque), and she leaned happily into everyone's hand that rubbed her. She was such a sweety, and did an excellent job as I educated these students about chameleons and their care. No one in my area knows anything about these creatures, and they were readily impressed with Cami. I was also impressed with her, I am a very lucky chameleon owner. She is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime chameleon! :)

That is awesome! I bet everyone really enjoyed what you taught them. I agree pets are a real asset to nursing homes and such. I used to take rabbits to the nursing home for people to see, pet, watch, .... it would just brighten up their days!

I agree, that is great that you used to do that for those people! Animals bring about a sense of home and responsibility for the elderly, and I think that they are an overlooked asset to the general well-being of humans. So Cami did an awesome job for both her species, and for the representation of animals in Retirement Homes. Hopefully this will bring about interest in my health care class! The students loved it!

Congrats to you and Cami, sounds like both of you did an excellent job at school.:D

We did well on our presentation, and we passed the class! And thank you, we had a blast :)

Glad to hear that Cami was such a good girl. :) I'll bet she made everyone's day.

You should have seen the excitement when I got her out of her carrying case. Everyone just lit up! So fun to see people's reactions to animals :)

That's fantastic that she enjoyed all that interaction with people. Ever think about taking her to an actual Retirement Home? Glad that you did well in your class as well.
